William (Bill) Ronald Tillison, 81, of Wichita, Ks, was surrounded by family and friends as he was called home on Wednesday, August 21st, 2024.  He was born on March 20th, 1943, in Anniston, Alabama, the son of William Wesley Tillison Jr. and Mary Louise Leigh.

Bill graduated from Fayetteville High School in North Carolina in 1961.  He enlisted in the United States Air Force and faithfully served his country for 20 years.  After his service with the USAF, Bill worked as a textbook buyer at the Wichita State University bookstore for 20 years.  He was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church which merged with, and currently exists as, City Life Church.  During his time at City Life, Bill enjoyed singing in the choir, serving on the prayer team, and volunteering wherever he was needed.  Always quick with a smile, hug, and words of encouragement, Bill used his gifts to bring light to those around him.

Bill was married to his loving wife, LuAnn (Watson) Tillison, on March 20th, 1990.  She was by his side for 34 years of a marriage filled with loving kindness, tenderness, laughter, and joy.

He is survived by his wife, LuAnn, his 10 children, 19 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Celebration of Life will be held at City Life Church (216 E Second St N., Wichita, KS 67202) on September 7th, 2024 at 11:00 am.
