William L Presley, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in his bed on September 23, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on September 22, 1962, in Peoria, Illinois, William was the cherished son of Ethel Williams and Ila Presley. Despite facing numerous medical challenges over the years, William's indomitable spirit and warmth touched the lives of everyone around. William went on to build an impressive career as a master certified RV technician, dedicating 31 years to a profession he loved. His remarkable skill and dedication were matched only by his commitment to helping others, always ready with a tool or a helping hand.
In 1985, William married the love of his life, Terie Gasper, at the First Baptist Church in Augusta. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership, spanning 41 wonderful years. Together, they nurtured a loving home and raised three children, Timothy, Mieshell, and Lorie, along with one grandchild, filling their family life with laughter and joy. William was a man of many passions, but above all, he adored his family. His 11 grandchildren—Mryiah, Elaina, Alexa, Kalina, William, Sorrel, Colt, Penny, Alyssa, Hayley, and Desiree—were the light of his life. Whether he was cracking jokes, sharing stories, or simply spending time with them, his grandchildren knew they had a devoted grandfather who cherished every moment with them. His siblings, Cindy, Glen, Michelle, and Scott, will remember William for his quick wit and the infectious laughter that could brighten the darkest day.
Preceded in death by his brother Paul, sister Susie and his favorite dog Lucy.
William held family close to his heart, always honoring their memory. William's kindness and generosity were legendary, and his ability to lighten any mood with a perfectly timed joke made him a joy to be around. His legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known him.
A service celebrating William's life will be held on October 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Headley Funeral Chapel, located at 813 State St, Augusta, Kansas. He will forever be in our hearts. William Presley leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
