Wilhelmina Jewell Sparks, at the age of 54, lost her battle with cancer.  Though a native of Wichita, KS her aspirations lay outside of Kansas and shortly after graduating from Collegiate High School, she attended and graduated from Haverford College in Pennsylvania.  Her degree allowed her the opportunity to live and work in Japan,  which she joyously took and from there she never returned to Kansas, with the exception of visits until her illness brought her home.  For her accomplishments one only has to google her name to see and discover.  She was able to interact and work with celebrities, musicians, artists, fashion designers, technological pioneers and even a few politicians, through her business ventures revolving around diversity and inclusion.

She is preceded in death by her father Frederick Sparks.  She is survived by her half siblings, her brother Wilfred (Stephanie), her niece and nephew, her mother Ruby Sparks-Hardy and her step-father Stratford hardy, Jr., whom helped many of her ambitions become reality.
