Vickie Ann (Keeter) Hayes, 73, of Wichita, KS, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025. She grew up in Yates Center, KS, where she lived on a farm and loved riding horses.

A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Vickie was known for her quick wit, sarcastic humor, and big heart. She was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren and loved to brag about their accomplishments. Vickie had a passion for animals, especially her beloved dogs, Zack and Aspen, and she made sure the squirrels in her yard always had plenty of peanuts. She brought joy to everyone she met with her smile, infectious laugh, and memorable road rage stories.

Vickie is survived by her husband, John Hayes; her son, Craig (Lisa) Wilson; her daughters, Tiffany (Dallas) Temple; Lisa (Brent) Hurst, Kellie (Wes) Smith; and Ashley (Todd) Black; 22 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory. She is reunited in heaven with her mother, MaryDell Vick; her brother, Johnny Keeter; and her sister, Linda Hancock.

A celebration of Vickie's life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11295 N. 127th St. E, Valley Center, KS 67147, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meal will be provided. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Beauties and Beasts 11th Hour Rescue in her honor.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Chelsea and Renisha at Providence Hospice Care for their compassion and support.

Vickie will forever remain in our hearts, and her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
