Vicki Sue Westmoreland Smith, was born December 26, 1944 in Wichita, KS to Grover Cleveland Westmoreland and Daisy Huddleston Westmoreland.  She grew up in Belle Plaine and had 4 siblings who preceded her in death.  She married Ray Darwin Smith February 19th, 1965.  They had 3 children, Kam Smith (Kerri Hageman), Kelli Smith Atha (Heath Martin), and Kasi Henning (Dominic).  Her grandchildren, Kasady (Kolbie), Kadie (Jake), Jayden, Wyatt, and Chloe were constant joys to her, as well her new great grandchild, Kiera.  She was the best mother and grandmother anyone could ask for.  She was also blessed with bonus children and grandchildren, Kelsie, Tanner, Taylor, and Lexi, through her kids' spouses , and she loved them so much.  They all loved Grandma Vicki.  She was also a beloved aunt to her nephews and niece.

Vicki worked as a CNA/RNA at Hilltop Manor in Cunningham, Kansas for many years.  She was loved by her co-workers for her positive attitude, dedication to her work and patients, and her love for the residents.  She retired in 2008 to Anthony, KS and spent her time with her grandchildren and at her home, working in the yard or spending time with her beloved dog, Bo.  She enjoyed time with family, George Strait, and crossword puzzles.  She was pretty good at Jeopardy too. She was loved by neighbors and friends.

Vicki passed away peacefully in Cheney, Kansas on August 8th, 2024 with her family around her.  She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her niece, and 2 nephews, her ex-husband, Darwin, and many friends.

Cremation services will be done with Baker Funeral Home and a celebration of life will be held at First Assemby of God church in Cheney, Kansas on Saturday August 17th, 2024 at 11am.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Hospital or Kingman Humane Society in Vicki's honor.
