It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Vicki Jeannine Heigele Fowler. Vicki was a loving mother, sister, daughter, and friend whose kindness and strength touched the lives of many.

Vicki is survived by her two children, Shawn and Amanda; her sister and brother, Debbie and Michael; and her mother, Anita. She was also a proud and devoted grandmother who cherished every moment with her grandchildren.

A graduate of Emory University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Vicki dedicated her life to caring for others. Her work at Egleston Hospital in Atlanta and Wichita State University was a testament to her commitment to health and healing. She was especially passionate about her role in the Cystic Fibrosis Center in Atlanta, where she made a lasting impact on her patients and their families.

Vicki found joy in simple pleasures: cheering on the Kansas Jayhawks during basketball season, rooting for the Tennessee Volunteers after her son began attending the University of Georgia, and spending quality time with her close friend Toni and going to the movies with her late husband Scott. She loved vacationing with her family, particularly at the beach in Destin, FL, where they created many cherished memories together.

Known for her sarcastic humor, Vicki had a love for crime shows and documentaries. But above all, she was dedicated to her community, giving back by working at a mental health center in Wichita and preparing and delivering meals to patients during the holidays.

Vicki will be remembered for her generous spirit, her dedication to others, and her unwavering love for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services will be held in Oklahoma City on September 21st. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Vicki's memory by donating to local charities that support causes close to her heart: cystic fibrosis research, addiction recovery programs, and support for nurses.
