With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Tucker Stephen McKinney, who left this world far too soon on February 17, 2025. Born in Great Bend, Kansas, to Theron McKinney and Dianne Seibel, Tucker was the first of two children and grew up in Lewis, Kansas. He attended elementary and middle school in Lewis and Kinsley before graduating from Greensburg High School in 2013 and Hutchinson Community College in 2015.

Tucker had a love for life that was evident in everything he did. An avid outdoorsman, he found peace in hunting and fishing, often spending countless hours in nature. He had a passion for sports, playing football, basketball, and golf during his high school years. A die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, he never missed a game, cheering them on with unwavering loyalty. His love for music and singing karaoke brought joy to those around him, his voice filling the room with laughter and warmth.

More than anything, Tucker loved his family. In 2017, he married Miah Hamm, and together they were blessed with two beautiful children, Jax Denzil (7) and Layla Mae (3), who were the light of his life. He was a devoted father, always making sure his children knew how much they were loved.

Tucker was a dedicated and hardworking man. He was most recently employed at Jordan Spray Insulation, and previously worked at Ultra Modern Pools and Lyft Truck Center. No matter where he worked, he brought a strong work ethic and a friendly spirit that made a lasting impact on those around him.

Tucker is survived by his beloved children, Jax and Layla; his parents, Theron and Machelle McKinney, and Tim and Dianne Seibel-Galliher; his sister, Tatum McKinney-Newby (Brenton); and his step-siblings, Darin McVay, Sara Nuzum (Michael), Katie Looper (Thad), Courtney Christian, Andy Galliher (Maggie), and Eric Galliher (Karis). He also leaves behind his grandparents, Sharon Seibel-Robb and David Robb, Bob and Judi McKinney, Larry and Carlene Schmidt, and William Galliher, as well as many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Tucker was preceded in death by his grandpa Steve Seibel, His great grandparents Claude and Ila Lowe, Francis and Eleanor Seibel, Dallas and Velda Bowman and Denzil and Letha Valerie McKinney and Aunt Elaine McKinney.

Tucker's kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love will be missed beyond measure. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain forever in our hearts.

A celebration of Tucker's life will be held on Thursday, February 27th at 2:00pm at Baker Funeral Home, 6100 E. Central, Wichita, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Jax and Layla McKinney education fund in his honor via cash, check or go fund me
