Troy Louis Grandstaff

Troy Louis Grandstaff was born to Loyal Jack and Elsie (Mastler) Grandstaff on May 11, 1938 in Waverly, Missouri. He passed away peacefully at home in the early hours of June 11, 2026 at home at the age of 88. He was the 7th child of 16 born to Loyal and Elsie. When he was 16 years old, he came to Wichita to help his sister and husband with their moving and storage business. He met and married his first wife Rosie. They had two daughters, Debbie and Diana.

After several years working for his sister, he was hired by Reeves-Wideman as a delivery driver and worked his way up to inside sales. Then he moved to Locke Supply and was store manager before retiring in 1999. Troy and Pat married August 25, 2000 and their blended family now consisted of two more daughters, Kirsten and Dawn.

Troy was an avid fisherman even though he never really like to eat fish! He was always working on an old car and tinkering in the garage. He had land in Eureka, Kansas with cattle there. He loved the wide open spaces on his farm. He always said “You can take the boy out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the boy.” How true.

Troy is survived by his wife Pat, daughters Debbie and husband Mark McLaughlin and Kirsten and husband Gary Beckner, 8 grand children, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Surviving also are his brothers Charlie (Carolyn) and Carl (Joanne) and his sister Melvina (O.D.).

He was preceded in death by his parents Loyal and Elsie, daughters Diana and Dawn, sisters Ida, Mary, Margaret, Virginia, Anna and Opal, and brothers Ralph, LeRoy, Marvin, Jim and Bob.
