Terry Joe Nelson, 79, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on May 27, 2026.

Terry was born in Parsons, Kansas, in 1946. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Vietnam War veteran. He later graduated from Pittsburg State University and went on to build a respected career as an Electrical Superintendent. Terry was also a proud member of the IBEW.

Terry enjoyed spending time golfing, hunting, and scuba diving. He will be remembered for his hard work, dedication to his family, and the many friendships he made throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Trinette; his son, Michael (wife Amy); his daughter, Kristen (husband Robbie Wares); three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Lyle, and Roger.

Per Terry's request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
