Terry Barber was born on June 1, 1965, in West Helena, Arkansas, to the late Willie Leroy Johnson and Mamie Johnson. Terry departed this life leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and unforgettable memories.
Terry was a skilled mechanic and a true entrepreneur, always working on his next hustle and striving to build something better for himself and his family. He was known for his determination, independence, and drive.
A devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Terry rarely missed a chance to cheer on his team. He enjoyed spending time fishing, a pastime he loved dearly until his health no longer allowed him to do so. He also enjoyed visiting the casino and spending time with family and friends.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Leroy Johnson and Mamie Johnson, and his brother, Charles Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife, Mary Barber; his sisters, Ruthie St. Clair, Jessie Johnson, Lillie McDonald, and Brenda Minor (Lloyd); his daughters, Lisa Barber, Tiasha Barber, and Candy Barber; his sons, Jerome Barber and Jerry Barber; his stepdaughters, Beneisha Miguel (Chris), Benita Okolo (Austine), and Bronte Bell; and his stepsons, Bobby Bell (Malaika), Bennie Bell, Charles Bell, and
Spencer Bell.
Terry also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will continue to cherish his memory.
Terry's life was a testament to resilience, love for family, and living life on his own terms. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
