Teresa Elaine Cole

Teresa Elaine (Zurfluh) Cole, 68, of Peabody, Kansas, went home to be with the Lord on March 7th, 2024.  She was born May 4, 1955, to Paul E. and Ethel E. (Stein) Zurfluh, in Wichita, Kansas.

Teresa Was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Cole, parents, and her brother Paul Zurfluh.

Teresa is survived by one brother, George (Marilyn) Zurfluh, of Newton, Kansas, and one sister, Charlene Boerger of Colwich, Kansas.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a number of extended family members.

Teresa enjoyed a lengthy career as a pharmacy technician.  In recent years, she worked as a preschool para in the Peabody school district, and loved working with the children.  In addition to working with children, Teresa loved her cats and her plants.  She was a creative person and enjoyed many crafts.  She was very involved in church activities and loved her church family, who were always very supportive.

The last few years have held many hardships for Teresa, with health problems as well as the loss of her husband.  Through all of this, she grew in her faith and trust in the Lord and maintained a sweet and gentle spirit.  She was greatly loved and will be missed by many family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Gracepoint Church of Peabody, 802 North Vine Street, on March 28th, 2024 at 10:30 am.
