In Loving Memory of Teresa M. Throop-Border - January 15, 1959 – October 14, 2026

Teresa M. Throop-Border passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 67.

Teresa was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family meant the world to her. She will be remembered for the love she gave so generously and for the many cherished memories she created with those closest to her.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially baking and sharing the warmth and comfort that came from time spent in the kitchen. Fall was her favorite season, with its beautiful colors and cozy atmosphere, while Christmas held a special place in her heart. She especially enjoyed settling in to watch Hallmark Christmas movies and savoring the magic of the holiday season.

A proud Kansas City Chiefs fan, Teresa loved cheering on her team. She also had a special fondness for Snoopy, a small but meaningful reflection of her unique personality and the things that brought her happiness.

Teresa leaves behind her son, Bryan Border, and his wife, Heather; her daughter, Megan Gardner, and her husband, Kolt; her sister, Aimee; and her brother, Steve. Her love and memory will live on through her nine grandchildren: Akia, Logan, Hadiya, Dylan, Sydnee, Zahra, Malea, Sophie, and Kayson; and her great-granddaughter, Arya, who will forever be part of her lasting legacy. Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Carl, her mother, Sandra, and her granddaughter Sophie.

Teresa’s passing leaves an emptiness in the hearts of her family that can never truly be filled. She will be deeply missed in everyday moments, at family gatherings, in the warmth of a freshly baked treat, on crisp fall days, and during Christmas movie season. The memories she created and the love she shared will remain with her family always.

Though she is no longer here to cheer on her Chiefs, bake her favorite treats, or enjoy another Hallmark Christmas movie, the things she loved will continue to bring comfort and remind her family of the special woman she was.

Forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
