Tawnee D Watson, age 36, of Anthony, Kansas, passed away in September 2026, leaving us far too soon. Born September 6, 1989, in Salina, Kansas.
Tawnee grew up surrounded by family, and was deeply loved by those closest to her. She will be remembered for the life she shared with her family, the relationships she built, and the memories she leaves behind. She was loved in more ways than can ever be captured in an obituary, and her place in her family will never be replaced.
Those who knew Tawnee, will carry their own memories of her. The moments that made them laugh, the conversations they shared, the little things that made her uniquely Tawnee, and the memories that will remain long after her passing.
Tawnee grew up in Saline County and attended Southeast of Saline until she transferred to Wichita South High her sophomore year. Tawnee graduated in 2008 from Wichita South High School and went on to pursue massage therapy at Heritage College.
She loved being outdoors and everything that entailed. Fishing, hunting, camping and kayaking brought her a sense of peace. In her free time she also enjoyed taking her dogs for walks, watching scary movies, singing and listening to music and of course teasing or pranking the ones she loved.
To know Tawnee was to know a young woman of fierce determination. Tawnee had a rebel heart, she was the freest of spirits. Always paving her own path, with fire in her soul, and a smile on her face. You always knew she was there, even when you hadn't seen her yet, because of her unmistakable laugh.
She is survived by her loving parents, John and Trina Green of Wichita, KS, and Wiley and Mung Watson of West Virginia; her siblings, Bobby (Liz) Moran, and Tonya (Evan) Diaz; her niece and nephews, Rylee, Raine (Ashton), and Robert Jeremy; her aunts and uncles, William “Bill” (Lisa) Hughes and his daughter, Katie; Rena (Tom) Bishop and their daughters, Nicole and Ashlee; Toby Hughes; Tina (John) Hatfield and their daughters, Kristin and Brittany; along with several extended cousins, family members, and dear friends who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents William “Bill” & Ruby Hughes & Roy and Adelia Wilson, her uncle's Ernie Hughes & Richard Hayward.
Though Tawnee left this earth far too soon, the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the memories she created will remain with us. Though our hearts are broken by her absence, we will continue to carry her with us, in the stories we tell, the memories we share, and the love that will never fade. Until we meet again, Tawnee. You will always be loved, always be missed, and never be forgotten.
We love you Sis, Love The Family
