Rev. Tarry Edward Jones, Jr.

Born in Wichita, Ks June 13, 1957. Tarry, 68, Passed away peacefully February 24,2026- His ultimate journey really began at the age of 15 when Tarry was called by God to preach, becoming licensed to do so. Then at age of 18 was ordained as a minister by the Southern Baptist Association. His love for God was always apparent. Tarry shared that love while preaching on Sundays and working various other jobs. After becoming disabled and life progressed, Tarry answered a hotline trying to help those in need of emotional support. Once Tarry entered a care facility, he taught bible study to his fellow residents until he no longer could. Now he has been called home. Preceded in death by father, Terry Jones Sr., half brother, Gary Jones, niece, Cassia Millspaugh and trusted friend/brother-in-law Richard Millspaugh. Survived by son, Tarry Jones III, mother, Joan Jones, sister, Cheryl Millspaugh, half sister, Nancy Elliott, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. And now with God may he rest.

There will be funeral service on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at noon at Baker Funeral Home - 6100 East Central - Wichita, KS.
