Steven Trevor
King
Jul 18, 1941 — Mar 15, 2026
Haviland
Steven T. King, 84, has received his heart's desire! On March 15. 2026, he flew away to Heaven and met Jesus face to face. Born in Iowa, July 18, 1941 to Ernest King and Neenah (Paris) King, he was the eldest of five siblings. An adventurer much of his life, he first 'ran away' at the age of three. He was soon found and brought home! He lived many places over the years, including Iowa, California, Wyoming, New Jersey, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Indiana and Kansas.
Steven's 8 decades of life included: working on a ranch, painting water towers and grain elevators, a successful silver and turquoise jewelry business, various types of construction- including developing a bridge straightening machine, and 20 years of driving a semi delivering RV's and motorhomes. His favorite activity during his trucking career was to share his faith in Jesus Christ with people he encountered along the road. A former doubter, he was so glad to be called to be part of God's family. He credited the book, "The Case For Christ" as the way God got through to him, and led him to accept Jesus as Saviour.
Retiring at age 80, Steven used his creative talent to craft raw logs and slabs of wood into beautiful rustic decor and furniture.
Steven was preceded in death by both parents, his daughter Mary Kay, his brothers Johnny and Mike King, and his sisters Donna King and Julie Hall. He was also preceded in death by his great-nephew Mackenzie Logsdon, his niece Erin Bailey, and his great-great nephew Grayson Sawyer.
Steven is survived by his daughter Kaysie and husband Eddie Reed, his bonus brother- Jim Walker, and his sisters Marlena King, and Leanah Bailey. Also surviving are his grandson Josh Burke and wife Joslyn, and great-grandsons Lucca and Liam Burke. Other remaining kin, listed by order of birth, are: Nieces: Robin, Michelle, Penny, Susan, Kimberly, Angela, Elkie, Daisy, and Erika. Nephews: Thomas, Michael, and Darrick, along with spouses and significant others. Also remaining are great-nephew Charles and many other other great-nephews and great-nieces, as well as several cousins. Friends, including lifelong school friend Paul Gordon, also remain.
Steven will be remembered for his guitar playing and singing, his keen wit, wisdom shared with younger family members, and many stories of family and experiences. Most important, is his later in life encounter with, and acceptance of, Jesus his Savior. His heroes were Jesus, his grandpa Walt Paris, & John Wayne- in that order! Steven is in Heaven with them now, along with so many loved ones!
