Stanley E. Lewis
April 22, 1954 – June 6, 2025

Stanley E. Lewis, of Coldwater, Kansas, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on April 22, 1954, in El Dorado, Kansas. Stan grew up in Greensburg, where he attended school and began forming the lifelong connections and values that defined his character.

A hardworking and kind-hearted man, Stan spent much of his life living and working for Comanche County, where he eventually retired. He had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in hunting, fishing, and restoring old cars—his true passion. Whether tuning an engine or casting a line, he was always happiest surrounded by nature or tools in hand.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Clara Lewis, and his brothers Kenneth and Jerry Lewis. He is survived by his daughter Rachel and her husband Mike of Wichita; two grandsons and a granddaughter; his sister Arlene and her husband Phil Hayse of Lyons; his brother Paul Lewis of Greensburg; as well as two loving nieces; two great-nieces; a great-great niece and a great nephew.

Stan's memory will be carried on by his family and all who knew him, remembered for his quiet strength, love of simple pleasures, and devotion to those he held dear.

A private family gathering will be held in Hamilton, Ks to honor his life.
