Shirley Jane Wright

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Shirley Jane Wright, who departed this earth on September 11, 2026, at St Francis hospice. Embraced by peace and surrounded by love. Born on November 10, 1957, Shirley brought light and joy to all those who knew her.

Shirley was the cherished daughter of the late Junior Glendon and Jesse Wright. Preceding her in death were her dear parents and sibling Frances Albert and Bobby Wright. Her spirit, however lives on in the hearts of her living family: her devoted children Heather Rogers and Christopher Wade, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and her siblings, Glenda Bowman, Larry Wright, Betty Boatwright, Cynthia Bishop, and Bill Griffith.

Shirley was a woman of remarkable character. Known for her quick wit, infectious laughter, and the warmest of hugs, she had an extraordinary ability to touch lives and lift spirits. Her presence was a beacon of joy and her humor a source of endless smiles. To know Shirley was to know a friend that could always be counted on to listen, to comfort, and to celebrate the little joys in life.

While Shirley’s passing leaves a void that can never be filled, her legacy of love and kindness stays with us. Her warmth and generosity touched many, and her memory will forever be a blessing.

In accordance with Shirley’s wishes, a private ceremony will be help to honor her life. The family appreciates the understanding of those who wish to pay their respects and encourage them to reflect on their fondest memories of Shirley.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Shirley’s memory are invited to make a donation to the charity of their choice. This gesture would be a fitting tribute to a woman whose life was dedicated to giving and caring for others.

Shirley’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at St Francis Hospice ,whom provided exceptional care and comfort during her final days.

Shirley Jane Wright will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. Her light continues to shine in the hearts of those who loved her.
