Sheila Arlene Mosier was born on August 31, 1947 in Gainesville, Missouri to Lynn and Don Terry.
She passed away at Ascension Via Christi Hospital on Monday morning, 1/12/2026 due to complications from a long 3 year struggle after having a stroke.

The family moved to Wichita when she was 8 years old, and she lived there for most of her life.  Sheila married Dick Gardner at a young age and they had two daughters, Cherie and Valerie.  Years later, Gene Schellenberg and Sheila had a son, Jason.  All 3 children still reside in Wichita and Wichita area.  She and her late husband, Joe Mosier, shared 3 stepchildren, Lori Tanner,  Devona McPherson and Zachary Mosier.

Sheila retired from Emprise Bank where she was an officer in the Collections department.  Working in her gardens and caring for her lawn became her passion after retirement. Often she would go out at sunrise and not quit working on her flowers until dark…her yard was always beautiful and she took great pride in it.   She also enjoyed decorating and keeping her home immaculate.  She had an extensive doll collection and Santa collection.  She loved to be surrounded by the artwork on her walls, and statues of children and bunnies…every thing had its precise place for display!

Sheila was preceded in death by her father, Don Terry; mother, Lynn Brewster Law; sister, Pam Brewster Parsons; granddaughter, Rachel Pena; grandson, John Brungardt; and grandson, Silas Eichbauer.

Sheila is survived by her brother, Dennis Mark (partner DeeAnne Lippoldt) Brewster of Wichita, and brother Hal Edward (wife Connie)Terry of Topeka.

She is also survived by her daughter Cherie (husband Jeff) Oblander of Derby, daughter Valerie Esparza and son Jason Schellenberg, both of Wichita.

Sheila was blessed with 6 surviving Grandchildren and 20 surviving Great Grandchildren: Lacie Blevins has 4 children. Stephanie Keith has 1 son. Ericka Schellenberg; Fabian (Jasmine) Pena has 5 Children. Matthew (Tara) Pena has 8 children. Krystal (Chris) Morales has 3 children.

A service will be held at Riverlawn Christian Church at 4243 N. Meridian Wichita, Kansas on Thursday January 29, 2026 at 1:30 pm.
