Sara Hixson passed away after her long battle with cancer in Lyons KS on November 18th 2025 at the age of 44 at Rice County District One Hospital. Sara was born on August 15th, 1981 in Lyons KS, to Brenda & Walter Hixson. She graduated from Chase High School in 1999. She welcomed her daughter into her home, years later welcoming her two grandchildren. She worked at Good Samaritan for many years and then went on to work at Chase Rural Schools for 5 years.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, coloring, and solving puzzles. She was a family oriented person who would take the shirt off her back for anyone in need.

Sara is survived by her mother, Brenda Hixson; daughter, Trinity Williams; grandchildren, Kai-Ray Moos & Rosalee Moos; sisters, Becca Mortimore (Frank) & Jessica Hixson (Scott) ; brothers, George Hixson (Ashlea), Jason Hixson, Walter Hixson (Teresa); life long friend Michael Mortimore & several nieces, nephews, aunts, & uncles. She is preceded in death by father, Walter Hixson; uncle Manny Boatwright; brother, Shannon Hixson; sister Shirley Marie; nieces, Charity Mortimore & Carley Janda.

A celebration of life will be held on December 14th 2025 at 3 p.m. at First Southern Baptist Church in Chase Kansas. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sara's life. The family would like to thank all of the caregivers, family members, and hospital staff for their care through the last couple years of her life.
