Sandra Lee Hanson Dawson, age 88, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at her home in Wichita, KS. She was born September 12, 1937, in Aurora, IL, to Russ and Betty Hanson.

She was a 1956 graduate of West Aurora Senior High School and attended college at Knox College and the University of Wisconsin. She also graduated from the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts in 1959.

She married Edwin Dawson of Shawnee, OK in June, 1962. He preceded her in death in 2021 after 59 years of marriage. Her sister, Linda, also preceded her in death in 2001.

Sandy was a life-long member of the Christian Science Church. She is survived by her sons, Scott and Peter of Wichita, KS; her daughter, Libby of Tulsa, OK; brother, Peter Hanson of Naples, FL; sister Peggy Gamrath of St.Louis, MO; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
