Rosa E. Peck, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, at the age of 92, at Diversicare Rehab facility in Haysville, Kansas, following a period of recovery from COPD and pneumonia.

A resident of the Main Street Place retirement community in Haysville, Rosa lived  life fully and made many dear friends—both human and canine. Her pockets were always ready with a dog treat, and she had a special affection for all the dogs who lived there.

Early Life and Family

Rosa was born on October 16, 1933, in Las Vegas, New Mexico, to Heinrich and Helena Richert. Her family of 11 soon relocated to Corn, Oklahoma, where she spent her formative years and graduated from  High School in 1951. Over the years, Rosa made her home in various locations, from Idaho to Lindsborg,  Kansas, before settling in Wichita in 1971 with her three sons, Terry, Rick, and Tony.

In 1981, she married Jerauld F. "Jerry" Peck, a U.S. Marshal. Together, they owned and operated a Sonic  Drive-In and a small restaurant on Seneca Street. In 1984, they moved to Reno, Nevada, where they  embraced new careers working in various casinos. They eventually returned to Wichita, where Rosa held  many jobs she enjoyed, including waitressing and working as a cashier at Dillons.

Legacy and Loved Ones

Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, Heinrich and Helena Richert; two of her sons, Tony Larson  (2000), Tony's wife Rachel Ellis Larson, Terry Larson (2007; her husbands, Kenneth Klein, Paul Larson, and  Jerauld F. Peck (2001); her brothers, Melvin, Ernie, Dave, and Ivan; and her sisters, Selma, Mary, and  Esther.

She is survived by her son, Rick Larson and his wife Judy of Wichita. Rosa's legacy continues through their  family, which includes four grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Eva Nikkel of Corn, Oklahoma, her step-daughter, Lois  Larson Bishop, and many loving step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Rosa was a woman known by many and loved by all who knew her. Her warmth, generosity, and readiness  to share a smile will be deeply missed.

The family will hold a celebration of Rosa's life at a later date.
