Ronald James Schmit, age 72 of Wichita, Kansas passed away at his home on Saturday, October 19, 2024.  He was born July 15, 1952 to James and Angeline (Penar) Schmit.

Ron graduated from Southeast High School in 1970 and then attended Wichita State University.  From there he went to work for Boeing Human Resources and then worked the last six years at Spirit AeroSystems.

He is survived by his wife, Pam of 31 years; his faithful dogs, Bo and Bella, sister-in-laws Barbara Hurley, Nancy Larson, and Joyce Boman; Brother-in-laws David (Carol) Boman, Tim (Jan) Davis, Leo (Sheila) Blanding; and Paul Osborne; Brother Jack (Emma) Schmit; and many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents James and Angeline Schmit; Sonny Bowman, Kylie Boman, Vicki Osborne, and Karen Schmit.
