Ronald (Bud) Laverne Crain passed away November 5,2024 in Wichita, Ks.

Bud was born July 18,1937 in Pierre, South Dakota to Robert Lee Crain and Gladys Sherman Crain.  Bud grew up in Arlington, South Dakota.

Bud loved watching all sports and played Basketball and Baseball which he did in high school and into post high school.  He then enjoyed playing golf up until well into his 80's.  He even played a baseball game against Satchel Paige and his traveling exhibition baseball team.

Bud retired from Tweco Products and USD 259.

Bud married Karen Petersen with whom he had 3 children during their marriage.  He married Carol Telkamp and they were married until her death.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents Robert Crain and Gladys Crain, wife Carol Crain, brothers Robert Crain, Donald Crain, Maurice Crain, son-in-law Randall Slusser and stepson Jeff Telkamp.  Survivors include son David Crain, daughters Lynda Slusser, Kristi Crain, brother's William (Bill) Crain, Jack Crain and Richard (Dick) Crain, bonus daughters Lisa Telkamp Dillon, Lori Telkamp Keller.  Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, friends and the brunch club from Village Inn.
Graveside service will be at a later date.

Bud will be missed by all.
