Rodolfo "Rudy" Perez, 87, of Wichita, Ks, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home August 26 2025. Rudy was born February 15, 1938 in Newton, Ks, the son of Manuel and Manuela (Rodriguez) Perez. He was raised in Newton and graduated from Newton High School, the class of 1956. He joined the U.S. Army in 1956 after high school and served two years in the military stationed in Germany.

Rudy married the love of his life, Donna Rae Wingo November 17, 1961, in Newton, she preceded him in death, August 16, 2003. He worked for the City of Newton in the sanitation department for most of his adult life until his retirement. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Raul Perez, Jose Perez and one sister, Hortensia Finch.

Survivors include a sister Eleanor Camargo of Vista, California, and one brother, Alfonso Perez (Lucy) of Chula Vista, California, three children, son Rudy Perez Jr, daughter, Marla Jo Cain (Fred), son Samuel Perez, two grandchildren, Celina Monares (Anthony) and Marcus Perez, and one great grandson, Xander Monares, all of Newton, Ks. Rudy was a sports fanatic and enjoyed watching and attending many sporting events. He enjoyed walking everywhere especially with his beloved Pugs, Maggie and Dora.

By his request there will be no funeral service. Cremation has already taken place and he will be laid to rest at Restlawn Cemetery here in Newton. We love and will miss you Dadio, you will forever be in our hearts and may you find everlasting peace.
