Rodney Bain was born in Newton, Kansas on July 10, 1972, and passed away on November 21, 2025. He is joined in death by his mother, Darlene Sue Smith.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Crystal; his daughters Ashley (Austin) and Stephanie (Nick); his grandsons Bentley and Jaxon, who were the greatest joys of his life; his father Roger Bain (Joy); his sister Jessica and brother Lloyd.

Rodney's greatest joy was his family, and nothing meant more to him than his grandsons. Bentley and Jaxon knew him through camping trips, fishing poles, and unhurried afternoons spent together, the simple moments where he was happiest.

He loved riding his scooter or bike around town, collecting CDs, and listening to classic rock. He also cherished visiting his dad in Idaho and spending time with his daughter in Colorado, finding comfort in familiar places and the people he loved.

A come-and-go reception will be held on Friday, November 28, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at the Federated Church in Whitewater, Kansas. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and remember Rodney in a casual setting.
