Robert Eugene McCann

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully at his home in Wichita, KS on March 22, 2024. He was 93 years old.

Robert was born on January 28th 1931 in Joplin, Missouri. He spent his childhood in Missouri, Tennessee and Kansas. He is a graduate of East High, class of 1949. He later graduated from Wichita State University in 1953 with a degree in Geology. His favorite hobby was fishing, but he didn't catch much. Bob enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids around the pool.

Robert is preceded in death by his devoted wife and one true love, Elaine McCann, with whom he shared his life for nearly 62 years. He is also preceded in death by his parents Robert B and Thelma McCann, and sister Roslyn (Jim) Hackney.

Roberts love extended to his daughters Catherine Kinzle and Karen Loyd of Wichita, KS. Grandchildren Steven Kinzle, Joshua Loyd, Chelsea Silver, Matthew Kinzle, and Tabitha Sparks. He is also survived by his nephew David Hackney of Arizona and 5 great grandchildren.

He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Memorial Service will be held at Baker Funeral Home, 6100 E Central Ave., Wichita KS on Friday March 29th at 1pm.
