Robert "Bob" Hall, 84, of Golden, MO, passed away Monday, November18, 2024 at home surrounded by family.  He was born July 6, 1940, in Elk City, KS, the son of Nelson and Alice (Lakin) Hall.

After high school, Bob started his own trucking and construction company which he operated until 1968 at which time he sold, prior to deployment to Vietnam.

Bob joined the US Army in May, 1963.  He moved up in rank with honors until, as a Staff Sargeant, he fulfilled his tour of duty in May, 1969.

He married Betty Denton on November 18, 1965.

Following his military service, Bob began working for Mackie Clemons Coal Co. in Pittsburg, KS.  Originally, a dozer operator reclaiming strip mine land, he became a mine superintendent and head of reclamation.  He raised cattle and operated custom baling.

He retired from Clemons in 1996 and moved to Golden, MO where he designed and built their home.  To stay busy in retirement, Bob continued to work construction and property management.   Most recently, Bob served as a maintenance substitute for the Berryville school system.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers.  Survivors include wife of 59 years, Betty; daughter, Gina; son-in-law, Shawn; grandsons Kaden and Jace; one brother and one sister.

Services will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 1:00pm at All Faith United Methodist Church, 29497 State Hwy 86, Eagle Rock, MO 65641 (please park in back).  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge – Kansas City, MO, or All Faith United Methodist Church in his name.
