Robert Gerald Clem, 71, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026.

He was born June 24, 1954, in Wichita, KS. The Son of Gerald P. Clem and Florence M. Womack (nee Brown, Clem). Both of which preceded him in death. He leaves behind his sisters Katheryn Unruh, and Rita Clem; his nephews Terrill Unruh ( Rebecca), Jason Pore (Sarah) and his nieces Leslie Craymer (Josh) and Tone Wright.

He worked for Boeing Aircraft Company and Spirit Aerosystems from 1986 to 2024.

He earned an Associates Degree in Applied Science. In 2014 while working for Spirit he obtained a patent for his design of a hinge locating tool.

He loved creating and building Sandrail's. One of which he called the Sandborghinni. The Sandborghinni won multiple awards in car shows and was featured in the VW Trends Magazine. He also had a love of camping and being with friends.

He was actively involved in CMSC (Coordinated Metrology System Conferences) and enjoyed traveling to the many places where the conferences were held. He served on the executive committee for the conferences and enjoyed spending time with the other committee members.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Aug 30th at Sedgwick County Park, Sunflower Shelter 2:00 - 5:00 PM.
