Rita Faye Lucre, 80, of Wichita Ks passed away on Thursday January 8th, 2026 at Catholic Care Center, where she had been transferred from Wesley Hospital for rehabilitation. Rita was born on February 20th, 1945, in Lubbock, Tx , the daughter of Roy and Bernice Hale.

Survivors include daughter Stacey O Bruno (Charlie) of Wichita , son Tony Ornelas Jr. (Jeanne) of Tulsa, son Cary Ornelas of Wichita, daughter Stephanie Ornelas of Wichita, her bonus son Rene Rodriguez of Wichita, a brother Tommy Hale of Dodge city, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren

She was proceeded in death by her parents Roy and Bernice Hale, sister Jean and brother Wayne.

Rita enjoyed watching British television shows while also crocheting, taking care of her plants,sitting outside on the back patio chatting with her neighbors. She was loved by many including her senior living community, health care workers, family and friends.

Funeral services will be on Thursday January 15th, 2026 at 12:00 noon at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita Ks. The viewing will be held at Baker Funeral Home on wed Jan 14th, 2026 between 5~7pm only.
