Richard (Rick) Lloyd Wilson, 74, of Park City Kansas, passed away on November 18th, 2024, peacefully at his home.

Richard Lloyd Wilson was born in Macomb, Illinois to Clara Nell Wilson and Raymond Wilson on April 15th, 1950. He grew up on the Wilson family farm in Table Grove, Illinois with his parents and four siblings. Rick graduated from high school at Macomb High school in the class of 1968. He attended college on a scholarship to Western Illinois University and got his bachelor's degree in engineering. He then completed his master's degree in business (MBA) at the University of Phoenix. Rick married Cheryl S. Wilson on July 4th, 1989, in Ocala, Florida. Together they raised their family of six kids in Casa Grande, Arizona and then moved to Andover, KS. Rick worked first as an engineer then later worked in supply chain management for Cessna/Textron aviation and Hawker/Beechcraft aviation. All for a combined of 40 plus years in the industry. He had special certifications in supply chain management and conquered his black belt certification in lean six sigma.

Even with all of Rick's achievements, his most precious gift was a second chance of life from Kyle in September 2004. Kyle, who had chosen to be an organ donor at 16, was matched with Rick for a heart transplant. Rick thought often of Kyle and gained friendship with his sister, Brandi and her family. With this second chance in life, he was able to make many memories with his family; such as seeing his youngest daughter grow up, walking his daughters down the aisle, taking his dream trip to Hawaii and meeting his grandchildren. Rick also loved to travel with his wife and family. Some of his favorite places to travel were to Campus by the Sea at Catalina Island, Hawaii, Branson, Colorado, Yellowstone, hunting in the Kaibab, and Europe specifically Scotland. He was involved in his local church and was involved in his children's activities. Rick loved all of his 16 grandchildren and cherished spending time with them on vacations, going to football games and watching them swim in his pool. Rick spent his downtime watching football and basketball, his favorite teams were the Kansas State University Wildcats and Kansas City Chiefs. Rick or Gicky (as his grandkids know him) was best known for his humor and silliness. He often wore bright and colorful shirts and sweaters to work or church and always had a smile on his face. His grandchildren best remember him laughing and joking around with them. Lastly, Rick cherished his memories of growing up on the family farm. He enjoyed having regular talks with all of his siblings up until his passing.

Most importantly to him, Rick was baptized in 2018 and is a believer in Jesus Christ. Rick spoke often of his faith in Jesus and shared his beliefs with those that he met. He would say he wasn't worried about dying because he knew he would be in a better place in heaven with Jesus.

Rick Wilson is proceeded in death by Raymond Wilson (father), Clara Nell Wilson (mother) and Kirsta Anderson (niece).

Rick Wilson is survived by his lovely and loving wife (Rick's own words), Cheryl S. Wilson.

Survived by children by age: (son) Brenton and Kristin Wilson; (daughter) Corina and Jason Hathaway; (son) Brannen and Whitney Mills; (daughter) Ashlee and Benjamin Marquez; (daughter) Casie and Johnathan Hart; (daughter) Tiffany and Sean Reese.

Survived by his siblings: Randall (Randy) Wilson, Jane Schrimpf, Judith Wilson Smith and Rodney (Rod) Wilson.

Survived by his grandchildren: Sam Wilson, Chelsea Wilson, Jaydin Strickland, Waylon Mills, Raylan Mills, Clayton Mills, Carson Mills, Isaiah Marquez, Gracie Marquez, Haven Marquez, Lacie Hart, Tucker Hart, Austyn Reese, Ellany Reese, Fenick Reese and Gatsen Reese. And his beloved dog, Holly.

Memorial services will be held in April of 2025 in Wichita, KS. Time and date TBD. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Rick's many doctors, nurses and medical team who gave incredible care for many years. Also, thank you to Traditions Health Hospice for their loving care of Rick and his family over the past nine months. We love you, Rick, Dad and Gicky. Rest in peace with Jesus. We will miss you.
