Richard L Hamilton, 88, of Wichita, Kansas passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025.  He was born November 15, 1936 in Wichita Kansas, the eldest son of Phil and Evelyn (Turner) Hamilton.

Richard graduated from East High School in 1955. He attended Friends University for two years, then took over his father's Mobile gas station in 1963 until he became the building superintendent of the Scottish Rite Temple in Wichita for 35 years.  After retiring, he worked for The Tire Store and Bondi's Antique Mall.

He married Kristi Newman on September 9, 1998.

He is survived by his brother Mike Hamilton and sister-in-law Myrna, and his sister Phyllis Shelton; his son Scott Allen Hamilton and partner Patricia Lloyd,  his daughter Leeanne Cosentino and partner Youree Culberson, his daughter Kimberly Shartzer, and his son Chris Newman and wife Christy, as well as 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Richard was a member of the Freemason's, and several car clubs. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday April 22nd at Riverlawn Christian Church, 10 am. 4243 N Meridian, Wichita,KS.
