Richard L. Diller, 84, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, at home. He was born March 24, 1941, in Steele City, NE, son of Harold and Mabel (Naylor) Diller Sanderson. Richard served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years as a Medic. Following his discharge, he obtained certification as an X-Ray Technologist, and then as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. He also received an Associate Degree from Butler County Junior College. He retired from the Wichita Veterans Hospital in the Nuclear Medicine Department. He was a member of NARFE throughout his working life.
He married Carlene M. Swenson on February 12. 1966, in Concordia, KS. He is survived by his wife, Carlene, of 60 years. His older brother, William Diller, preceded him in death. Survivors include sister, Patricia Diller Fish (John) of San Francisco, CA; brothers, Julius Powell (Charlene), Halstead, KS, Jerry Powell, McLoud, OK, sister, Delores Weaver, Saraland, AL, and brother Darrell Powell West (Thomas West Powell), Spring Hill, FL, and nieces and nephews.
