Rebel Wayne Ward, 62, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, surrounded by love with his wife, children, siblings, and mother by his side.

Rebel was born on November 1, 1963, in Wichita, Kansas, to Frances and Raymond Ward. True to the way he lived his life, Rebel arrived in a hurry, born at home as the second of five children. He grew up in Attica, Kansas, where he built lifelong bonds with his siblings, who remained his best friends throughout his life.

Rebel was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He met the love of his life, Sherrie, and they were married in June of 2001. Together they built a beautiful life and family, blending their children and sharing a deep partnership in both life and work.

Rebel spent many years as an over-the-road truck driver, working faithfully for OK Transfer before eventually starting his own trucking company alongside Sherrie, R and S Trucking. He loved to travel and see new places, but no matter how far the road took him, his heart was always with his family. Even when work kept him away, Rebel never failed to call his children and stay connected.

Rebel truly never met a stranger. He loved everybody, and everybody loved him. His kindness, warmth, and easygoing nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

The highlight of Rebel's life was being a grandpa. He absolutely cherished his grandchildren and took immense pride and joy in that role.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sherrie; his children, Landon and spouse Lisa, Daniel, Randi and spouse Frank, Lindsey, Lacie and spouse Tony, Lanie and spouse Will, James and spouse Sarah, and Regan; his grandchildren Dakota, Lawson, Atiana, Makiya, Kaden, Makynna, Andon, Tayte, Waylan, Hank, Jax, Diezel, Gabrielle, Eleanor, Braesyn, Amato, Maizley, Kash, Kailor, and Hazel;  his mother, Frances Ward; his siblings Doug, Revelie, Steven, and Katera and spouse Jerry, brother-in-law Robert Spivey,  father-in-law Marvin Link, and numerous other relatives and friends who will miss him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Ward, mother-in-law, Carol Link, brother-in-law Monty Crumine, nephew Ian Hoshaw, and his grandparents.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services are being planned for April 18, 2026, in Attica, Kansas, and June 6, 2026, in Arizona.
