Rebecca Adams: A Life of Love and Compassion

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Rebecca Helen Adams, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend, on September 8, 2023.

Born on November 22, 1951, Rebecca was the adored daughter of Helen Adams and Mark Adams Jr. Her compassionate nature led her to dedicating her life to helping those in need, humans and animals alike. Her selflessness and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all those who had the privilege of knowing her.  She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, demonstrated by her careers as a Montessori teacher, dedicated caregiver, and death doula.

Rebecca was a loving and devoted mother who instilled the values of kindness, empathy, and perseverance. Her vibrant spirit, quick wit, and genuine kindness will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Adams, father Mark Adams, and her baby brother, Thomas Colin Adams. She is deeply missed by her daughter Annie Adams-Palmer (Mason Monigold), stepdaughter Aubrey Flaherty (Brian, Piper, and Zach), brother Mark Adams (Susan), nieces Gina Grafos (Travis Howser) and Julia Adams (Tyler Hillan),  beloved cousins, extended family, friends, and pets, all whom she adored.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2023 at St. James Episcopal Church (3750 E. Douglas Ave. Wichita 67208), where friends and loved ones can gather to celebrate Rebecca's remarkable life.

In honoring Rebecca's memory, her family kindly requests that donations be made to Beauties and Beasts and Friends of Felines in lieu of flowers.
