On January 11th, 2025, the world lost an amazing wife, mother and sister, Phyllis, also affectionately known as PJ.

She was born in Dodge City, KS to Russell and Estella Lupton, and is survived by two sisters, Mary Esther (David) of Wixom, Michigan and Joyce (Clifford) of Dodge City, KS, wonderful husband of 49 years Steve of Clearwater, KS, youngest of two sons, Paul Rodriguez (Rhonda) of Wichita, step children Shane, Kristy, niece and nephews Stephen, Lisa, Darin, Kevin, Bradley, Tyson, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Russell and Estella, oldest son Jeff, and stepson Jason have already made their home in heaven, along with Mary Esther's husband, David.

PJ was a very young 79 when she was called to walk with the Lord in eternity.

PJ loved antiques, her little puppers, Sally, great shabby chic fashion, a good bargain, and above all, Christ.

PJ made her 30 year career with Wesley Medical Center (Wichita) as a specialty nurse, and retired from there about 25 years ago.

PJ loved to make new friends, whether at church, the antique store, or at dinner with loved ones. She had enough love for everyone, shared her outgoing personality easily, and was grateful to be around good company.

She will be missed greatly by those that knew and loved her, not only because of her great smile, but because of her zest for life, her ability to love, and her genuine kindness.

PJ is now having her best days ever!

A visitation is scheduled for Monday, January 20, 2025 at Baker Funeral Home - 6100 East Central - Wichita, KS from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

A service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st at 11 a.m. at Central Community Church - 6100 W. Maple - Wichita, KS in the chapel, dinner immediately after.
