Paula Sue Martindale, age 63, of Wichita, KS, died Sunday 8 October 2023 at Via Christi St. Francis in the company of her son.  She was born on 23 November 1959 in El Paso, TX. She was the only daughter of Thelbert (Del) and Carrol Matney.

Paula graduated from Wichita West High School in 1978, and she briefly attended Wichita State University.

She worked for her father in his business for several years before spending the rest of her career serving the people of Wichita as a Family Services Coordinator for the Kansas Department for Children and Families - first for children, and then for adults.

Paula was an avid reader who loved old movies, taking walks, and spending time with, and caring for, her other children (her animals). She never hesitated to help someone in need nor would she deprive you of how she truly felt.

She was preceded in death by her parents Del and Carrol Matney.  Survivors include son, Justin Wade Martindale of Elkhorn, NE; grandsons, Ethan Matthew and Michael Christian Martindale of Elkhorn, NE; and granddaughter, Madeline Marie Martindale of Elkhorn, NE.

Memorial Services will be Friday, November 10th  at 11 AM at Westside, United Methodist Church in the sanctuary. The church is located at
1313 W. Lydia, Wichita, Kansas 67213.  A private committal will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Kansas Humane Society in her name, or to her grandchildren's scholarship fund.
