Patty Tinder passed away peacefully in hospice care after a short illness, on Sept. 26, 2024.

Patty was born in Lebanon, Indiana on Nov. 14 1943. She attended Lebanon HS and graduated in 1962. Patty married her husband Terry Tinder in Dec. 21 1962. They had been married for 56 years. He preceded her in death in 2019.They had three children.  She had accomplished many things in her life most notable was owning her business, TP Ceramics, in the '70's and '80's. She had two locations. One was in a home shop at Elizaville, IN and another location in Brownsburg, IN.  Patty and Terry pursued other job adventures like setting up ice skating rinks across the US, Mexico and Canada for Nutcracker on Ice, the World Cup Champions on Ice and Disney on Ice. The highlight of this adventure was meeting Scott Hamilton.

In her later years she enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She was also a fabulous shopper. She kept QVC and HSN in business. She loved playing cards and jigsaw puzzles and garage sales.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy (Long)Merrill, North Salem IN, her father Donald Merrill, Lebanon IN and two brothers Robert(Bob) Merrill, Sheridan IN and Gene Merrill, Fairfax VA.

Surviving were her children Teresa Barnes(Ted),Conway AR,  D.David Tinder(Barbara) Wichita KS, and Christopher Tinder Conway AR. She had 7 Grandkids: Zachary Tinder(Kendall)Wichita KS, Tammy Barnes and Terry Barnes Conway AR, Terralee Tinder, Jamestown IN, Zeanne Durkee(Levi), Zoe Tinder, Zane Tinder and 4 great grandkids: Madelyn, Oliver, Sophie, Ember Tinder all from Wichita KS.
