Patricia Jane Donelson
December 12, 1937 – May 4, 2025

Patricia "Patty" Jane Donelson, age 87, passed away in Council Grove, KS on May 4, 2025. Patty was born on December 12,1937 in Cottonwood Falls, KS the daughter of Edward William Fillmore and Zelda Grace (Spain) Fillmore.

Patty graduated from Chase County High School in 1955.  She worked for several years as a bookkeeper for Huth Lumber before serving as the City Clerk for the City of Cottonwood Falls.  She also worked for the Chase County Historical Society and Museum as a curator and during that time compiled a historical account of Chase County titled Roots and Patchwork which was first published in 2002.

Patty is survived by her two children, Vicki McGraw of Manhattan, KS and Gail (Gene) Wonser of Atlanta, KS, 3 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren, and 6 siblings.  She was preceded in death by 3 of her brothers Eugene "Gene" Fillmore, Robert Fillmore, and Marion "Hop" Fillmore.

A lifelong Kansas City Royals fan, Patty especially admired George Brett. She was also an avid reader and had a great appreciation for western movies, especially if they included actor, Sam Elliott.

Cremation will take place.

Per Patty's wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
