Patricia (Patty) Irene Griffey Barnes, 78, of Wichita, KS, passed away in her sleep on Friday, May 24, 2024, at her home.  She is now with her Lord and Savior.  She was born August 11, 1945, in Wichita, KS, the daughter of Donald B and Vangie I Griffey.

Patty graduated from Wichita South High School.  She attended Vernon's School of Cosmetology following high school. She worked for Boeing Aircraft Company and retired after 25 years.  Following retirement she owned a clock shop on East Douglas and owned and operated an antique shop in downtown Wichita.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Vangie, as well as her step-mother Sophia Griffey.

Survivors include daughter, Corrina I Barnes and sister, Michelle Green, two nephews, Scott Slay, Eric Slay (Kisha) and three great nephews and one great niece.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Central Community Church Chapel, 6100 W Maple in Wichita, KS.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Victory in the Valley, 3755 E Douglas, Wichita, KS 67218 in her name.
