Pamela Gay (Cypret) Phillips, 73, of Augusta, Kansas passed away at 3:05 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.  Jesus came to Pam and told her that he had prepared a place for her in his father's house, which has many mansions.  Pam took his outstretched hand and tonight she is with him in paradise.

Pam was born on July 3, 1951, in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Hugh Cypret and Velma Sorrels.  The first years of her life she lived in Oklahoma, Texas, and South Dakota.  In 1956 she came to El Dorado, Kansas with her parents and sisters.  She attended El Dorado schools.

She was first married to Donnie Stewart and together they welcomed a son, Tony,  into the world.  After that relationship ended, Pam met and married Roger Pierce of Augusta.  They had three children together - Roger Pierce, Jr., Carl Pierce, and her only daughter, Kristine.  Later, Pam married Mike Phillips and they were married for 31 years.

Pam was a wonderful person.  She was so kind and good.  As children we had to clean the house and we always made Pam clean the kitchen.  We had to walk to the store everyday and when it rained or snowed we always sent Pam and she never complained.

Pam took training to become  a CNA and obtained her CNA license. She spent most of her working years at the Augusta Medical Complex.  First, as a CNA and later in the laundry area for many years.

Pam was a firm believer in God and she prepared herself for Judgment Day by being saved and baptized.  As she stands before God, on His throne, her name will be found in the Book of Life.

Pam is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Gary, and her beloved canine companions, Buddy and Wiener.

Pam is survived by her husband of 31 years, Mike; her sons - Tony Stewart of Missouri, Jr. Pierce (Sharon) of Augusta, Carl Pierce of Winfield, and her daughter Kristine (Tim) Rosenbaum of Augusta.  Her grandchildren Janessa, Ashlynn, Shelby, Alex, Sydney, Colin, Alyssa, and Fallon.  Her sisters, Pat Summers of El Dorado, Melva Ramirez of Texas, and Linda (Vic) Butler of El Dorado.  She is also survived by her constant companion, her dog, Lilly.

Pam is to be cremated with services at a later date.  Baker Funeral Home in Wichita is in charge of the arrangements.  The family would like to thank Traditions Health Hospice for the wonderful care they gave our beloved Pam.
