Nita Kay Layton (Carpenter – Hutcheson) 65,former employee of Cessna and Wescon, passed away on December 10, 2019. She was born on July 7, 1954 to Kendall and Beatrice (Meyer) Carpenter in Wichita, KS. She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Charles Hutcheson and second husband, Jerry W. Layton. She is survived by her sons; Charles Douglas Hutcheson, Shane (Kallie) Hutcheson, grandchildren; Hyndrence Hutcheson, Huxlee Hutcheson, Kendyll Hutcheson, all of Wichita. Sister, Patsy (Rex) Schott of Mulvane and brother Tommy (Becky) Carpenter of Wichita, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and her greatest companion her dog, Missy. She had a saying "If you can't come see me when I'm alive, don't come see me when I'm dead.
