Mildred Irene Richards, 96 of Wichita, KS, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at St. Teresa Hospital surrounded by her family while battling pneumonia in both lungs. She was born on November 2, 1927, in Corder, MO, the daughter of Everett and Fern (Davis) Leftridge.

She married Jerry Richards and resided in Missouri; he preceded her in death on April 18, 1991. They had no children together. During their marriage, she worked at Rival Manufacturing Company in Warrensburg, MO.

She formerly married Virtus Dillard Moss in 1944 and they had three children: son Joseph Everett Moss, son David Eugene Moss, and daughter Sharon Lea Moss.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter Sharon of Wichita, KS; son David of Wichita, KS; and her parents, Everett and Fern Leftridge of Kansas City, MO.

Survivors include son, Joseph Everett Moss of Wichita, KS; 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Derby church of Christ in Derby, KS. Burial will follow at El Paso Cemetery.
