Michael Fred Jackson, 63, of Newton, KS passed away Monday, December 18th, 2023, at his home after his long battle with cancer. Mike was born February 4th, 1960, in Kearney, Nebraska, the son of Doyt and Blondie (LoRene Graf) Jackson.

He was a ranch hand and mechanic of agriculture all his life until he was forced to retire around 2005, due to a back injury. His hobbies included fishing, watching football, tinkering with all things mechanical and helping those around him. His life passion was fishing and camping in the great outdoors with loved ones, teaching his children and grandchildren how to fish and to learn the love of the water. He also took the time to teach all his children and grandchildren life skills that they needed to succeed in life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyt (1985) and Blondie (LoRene) (2016), brother Dwight (1996), nephew Gregoy (2009).

Survivors include son, Tommy J Jackson (Shannon) of Pratt, KS; daughter Lacey A Littrel of Newton, KS; Brother Rick Jackson (Cindy) of Holdredge, NE; 8 grandchildren Rylan and Karev Roach; LaRue, Kymbur and Rykur Littrel; Scarlette, Conner and Isabelle Jackson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; beloved dog Bella Jackson of Newton, KS.

There will be no visitation or services; the family has honored Mike's wishes for cremation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date back home in Nebraska.
