Michael Phillip Hylton, 76, of Conway Springs, KS passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Springview Manor. He was born December 10, 1947, in Wichita, KS. He was born to Richard B and Dorothy M Hylton.
He shared his life with Sherry Sparks, and they went on many adventures traveling across the United States. Some of his other loves were his pets, going to auctions to find his treasures, reading crime novels and westerns. He also loved spending time with his family and playing with his grandkids and great grandkids. To his great grandkids he was known as Great Pa-Pa. When not with his family or traveling, he worked at Star Lumber for more than 30 years, made great friends and had lots of great stories.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Sparks, his parents Richard and Dorothy Hylton and his nephew Cory Hanson. He is survived by his two daughters, Kristy L. Youngers of Wichita, KS; Michelle L. Berntsen (Brandy) of Conway Springs, KS; Sister Janet (Charlie) Hanson; Brother Mitchell (Rosanne) Hylton; Nephew Ryan (Karen) Hanson, Niece Maggie Hylton; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Hidden Lake Venue, 537 W MacArthur Rd. It will be held from 10:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. It will be a come and go event. The family will hold the burial of the cremains will be in Dunlap, KS at a later date.
