Maxine Irene "Max" Beebe, 82, passed away peacefully March 23rd, 2025 in Wichita, Kansas. Born on August 11, 1942 to Paul and Rita (Quilez) McCllintock, Maxine lived a life marked by resilience, warmth and an unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Maxine earned her bachelor's degree in accounting at UCLA. Though she initially pursued a career in accounting she quickly realized it wasn't her calling. With characteristic boldness and determination she pivoted to waitressing- a profession that brought her joy and allowed her to connect with people from all walks of life. During her time working at a high-end restaurant she had the unique opportunity of serving several U. S. Presidents and other noble figures.

Later in life,
Maxine found her true vocation in healthcare. For many years she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Windsor Health Care, where her compassion and dedication touched countless lives. Her ability to care deeply for others was evident not only in her professional life but also in the way she nurtured relationships with family and friends.

Maxine's family was the heart of her world. She is lovingly remembered by her son Daniel Beebe; stepdaughters Shelly Harbour, Tania Houser, Angie Johnson, Carla Joe Williams and Jessica Williams- whom she cherished as if they were her own daughters; and grandchildren Mackenzie Beebe, Sam Beebe and Halley Beebe. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years Art Williams,
her loving ex-husband Dan Beebe and her parents.

A woman of deep faith and spiritual courage, Maxine embraced Catholicism later in life and overcame many personal hurdles to practice her faith. In later years she became more active in her faith community and regularly attended mass at Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Her spiritual journey was a cornerstone of her strength and perseverance.

Maxine had a zest for life that shone through in every that she did. She found joy in cooking comfort food classics and would always make sure that everyone had plenty to eat. She delighted in preparing meals that brought people together around the table. She enjoyed spending time at the lake or tending to her garden & loved vibrant flowers. Whether surrounded by nature or gathered with family at home, Maxine created spaces filled with love and laughter.

Those who knew Maxine will remember her as being loving and kind yet fiery and determined. She was a true survivor and a very loving mother. A woman who offered comfort and tough love when needed. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms and an open heart. She will be dearly missed and will always be remembered.

A Memorial Mass celebrating Maxine's life will be held on May 11th, 2025, from 10:30 Am to 11:30 Am at Ascension Living Via Christi Village Ridge, Building 400, located at 3636 N. Ridge Road in Wichita, Kansas.
