Mary K (Catherine) Sanders, 73, of Wichita, KS, passed away Monday, December 4, 2023, at her home with her beloved dog Jazmyn (Jazzy) at her side.  She was born April 15, 1950, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of beloved parents Richard Luke Sanders and Edna Foley Sanders (both deceased).

Mary K graduated from parochial high school in Chicago in 1968.  She attended Sacred Heart College in Wichita and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics in 1972.  She enjoyed snow skiing, Maltese dogs, and a good party.

She proudly served 32 years at Boeing in Wichita, KS as a Numerical Control Programmer and then support Manager.  She then worked 2 years at Spirit AeroSystems in a support role.

Mary K was a loving sister to Jeffrey Luke Sanders (deceased) and continued as a good friend to his wife, Patricia Gibbons Sanders.  She was a special aunt to William Luke Sanders and Julie (Sanders) Van Gessel; and great aunt to Jack, Madeline, Melayna & Luke Van Gessel.

A private celebration of life will be held later.  There will be no service.  For those wishing to remember her, memorials may be given to the Kansas Humane Society.
