Mary Anne Reed of Wichita, Kansas died December 30, 2023. She was 93 years old. Anne was born April 10, 1930 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the daughter of Rudolph and Mary Koch, who immigrated from Denmark and Czechoslovakia in the early 1900's. Anne grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from the University of Kansas in 1952, with a Degree in Occupational Therapy. Anne met her husband to be, George,
on a blind date in 1949. They were later married on July 19, 1952 at Danforth Chapel on the KU Campus. Anne worked in her chosen field of Occupational Therapy at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She was a homemaker for many years until her children were grown.

Anne had one sister, Lillian, who preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by her husband, George. They were married for 66 years. She is survived by her son, Ted, daughter, Marti (Mark), three grandchildren, Miles (Kadie), Maxwell and Marshall, great grandson Reed Sanderson, and beloved family dog, Curly. Anne will be dearly missed.
