Martiniano Lumbreras Montoya, 84, of Wichita, KS passed away Monday, May 6, 2024 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on July 11, 1939, in Guanajuatillo, Zacatecas, Mexico, the son of Benito and Juana (Montoya) Lumbreras.

Martiniano worked various jobs in construction throughout his life ending his working career retiring with Hayes Company in Park City, KS. He had a fondness for western movies, a great love for animals, and liked visiting with his friends. He was very active and enjoyed riding his bicycle around Wichita's North end frequently.

He married Ma. Soledad Alvarado and they were married for 60 wonderful years. Survivors include his wife Ma. Soledad; sons, Erasmo (Bernie) Lumbreras, Matias (Rosa) Lumbreras, Rosalio Lumbreras, Claudio Lumbreras, Francisco (Elizabeth) Lumbreras, Carlos (Mariel) Lumbreras; daughters, Esther (Salvador) Rodriguez, and Audelia (Martin) Arellano; 24 grandchildren and 10 great-grand children.

Visitation services will be held on Thursday, May 9th, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home 6100 E. Central Wichita, KS 67208. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 10th, 2024 at St. Patricks Catholic Church 2007 N. Arkansas Wichita, KS 67203. Rosary will begin at 9:30 am; Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00am. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Garden 1806 N. Oliver, Wichita, KS 67208.
