Marlin Lloyd Brown

(Sept. 18, 1936 - August 28th, 2025)

Marlin Lloyd Brown, 88 of Bel Aire, Kansas, passed away Thursday, August 28th, 2025 at Catholic Care Center surrounded by family. Marlin was born on September 18, 1936 in Richland, Kansas, the youngest son of Minor and Lydia Brown.

Marlin was a devout Christian, loving husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa! Marlin spent most of his life as an executive with the Boeing Company. He retired at 55 and spent the remainder of his life helping others in need. He ran many Volunteers In Mission groups all around the United States, raising money, building, cleaning, remodeling homes and schools.

Marlin was preceded in death by his son Douglas Carl Brown; his parents Lydia and Minor Brown; six brothers - Elwin, Charles, Lowell, Bob, Sheldon, Marvin and one sister Evelyn Wiebel.

Marlin is survived by his loving wife Dixie J. Brown of Bel Aire, son Craig A. Brown (June) of Andover. Grandchildren - Lisa Bryers (Ashley) of Salem, Oregon, and Chad Brown of Manchester, England. And one new great grandson Rhys Bryers of Salem, Oregon.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Wichita, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with Volunteers In Mission with Calvary United Methodist Church.
