Marjorie "Maggie" Hall Bicker , 76, passed away at her home, Glen Carr Memory Care in Derby Kansas on December 14, 2023. Marjorie was born in Ann Arbor, MI on June 6, 1947 to Louis B and Janis Amelia (Campbell) Hall. When she was 5, her family relocated to Manhattan Beach,
CA where she grew up. Although she lived in the midwest for her entire adult life, she never stopped being a "California Girl."

Marjorie attended Concordia College in Seward, NE, where she met and married Richard Bicker. The couple had three children, twins Windy and Micah, and daughter Peg Bicker. Through their marriage, they lived in Wayne NE, Flint MI, Polk NE, and Beardstown IL before settling in Winfield, KS in 1981. Marjorie loved her town of Winfield and was always so proud to call Winfield her hometown.

In all things she did, Marjorie identified as an artist, from restoring an old building in downtown Winfield, to painting murals around the state including several in Winfield at Island Park, Winfield Public Library, and Winfield High School. She was an accomplished painter, seamstress, ceramicist, sculptor, and gardener. While she loved to create, her greatest love and talent lay in her ability to share her passion for the arts through teaching. Following graduation from the Southwestern College Teachers College, Marjorie taught in Udall and Winfield Public schools, retiring in 2013. She taught classes through Winfield Arts and Humanities and led various workshops, classes, and private lessons for most of her adult life.

Marjorie was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she loved to arrive early and serve as greeter, welcoming everyone in. She always sat in front during services in order to be closer to the action. She loved and served her church community faithfully for more than 40
years.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Janis Hall, her brother Richard Hall, and her daughter Peg Bicker. She is survived by her children Windy (Jay) York, Micah Bicker, and 5 grandchildren, Elliot (Molly) Bicker, Naomi (Gabby) Baumann, Clara Bicker, Ian York, and
Helen York.

Services will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Winfield, KS. Memorials have been established with Winfield Arts and Humanities and with Trinity Lutheran Church and School of Winfield.
